Crypto Kitties are the world’s first mainstream blockchain based “game” in which users become digital cat breeders. The goal is to breed cats that are highly desirable to the market, and sell them to people through the CryptoKitties.co website.
One thing is for sure, Ethereum has a long way to go before it will be able to handle massive applications in scale, as only a few tens of thousands of users seemed to nearly bottleneck the mining operations of Ethereum all around the world after only a few days since the game’s release.
