Learn all the basics you need to get started setting up and running IEF protocols using the user interface of the Bio-Rad PROTEAN i12 IEF system. This video covers the following:

• Starting a run with a preprogrammed or user protocol
• Selecting different protocols for each lane
• Setting focusing temperature, voltage, ramp, and duration (hr or Vhr)
• Configuring rehydration steps
• Entering IPG strip parameters and sample details
• Real-time run monitoring
• Saving data files

PROTEAN i12 Reporter, a free web-based application (www.i12reporter.com), can be used to upload data files, view individual lane profiles, and compare sample profiles from different runs. The application can also be used to generate reports, print graphs, and create protocols that can be transferred to the PROTEAN i12 IEF system via USB flash drive.
