Dogecoin vs. Litecoin, and why Dogecoin is a potent Cryptocurrency

**Update 6-30-2017**
I made this video about a year and a half ago. Since then I tried to invoke the Dogecoin community to evolve and adapt to the rapidly growing and changing cryptocurrency landscape (by adding new features such as those seen in Ethereum or the treasury system in Dash, to fund development so we could grow). Although many users seemed interested, Dogecoin feels stuck in its old ways and some current community members along with the current maintaining developers do not seem interested in “fixing what’s not broken.” To be fair it would require a great deal of energy and momentum to grow which Dogecoin simply doesn’t have while other cryptocurrencies with a clear mission statement involving growth and evolution do.

Thus, unfortunately Dogecoin is not innovating while other cryptocurrencies are, and these are the ones with healthy growing communities, while Dogecoin continues to drift farther away from the spotlight. It has been sad to watch Dogecoin’s amazing community size and culture dwindle away and as it is extremely difficult to invoke change in it, it is no longer one of my top picks. I wish I could annotate the video to say this but Youtube doesn’t allow annotations anymore.

Original video description from March 1, 2016:

I’m interested in which cryptocurrencies have the highest potential for gain with the lowest potential risk, Dogecoin answers the call here. In this video I’ll examine some of the fundamental attributes of Dogecoin, and do a cross-examination to its sibling Litecoin.

The video I captured on Twitch.tv, where the Dogecoin emote was all over chat:
