C100 MkII Rig for under $1K

So I was looking online for Shoulder rig options for the C100 Mark II and I couldn’t find much besides the expensive ones that cost’s almost as much as the camera itself. They are nice though but I wanted something that is less complex and still get’ts the job done.

So I got creative…

I found the chinese Company Smallrig and found out you can built almost every rig you want.

Would I built it excactly the same way now? Probably not. For example I wish I would have invested in a better baseplate and for a few hundred dollars you can get a nice grip relocator too.
The Monitor/EVF solution is also not optimal. But you can also just use the rig without the mattebox, follow focus and monitor and you have a lightweight rig that is less obtrusive.
