Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and other forms of cryptocurrency have been very hot in the news as of late. Many people who purchased bitcoin in the past are now selling it, making record profits in the process. Some have even gone as far as to say that Bitcoin is more valuable in the long run than the US dollar. They cite the “blockchain” technology that Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrency) is based on as the reason.
It’s safe, secure, and all digital. So there’s no physical product to steal and hacking the digital asset of cryptocurrency is very difficult due to the technology. All of that is fine and well, but there is a dark side to cryptocurrency which makes US dollars in cold, hard cash still be the king above all.
