Looking ahead into 2018 there are certainly going to be some changes coming to the market, compared to what has happened already in 2017. Investors are getting wiser, and more people are starting to invest in the community.
The days of the wild west frontier are not yet over, but the Oregon Trail has started and we are no longer going to be isolated for better or worse. This means that more governments are going to start to show interest in BitCoin and AltCoins.
There have been predictions that 2018 will be a big year for Ethereum, if it can launch the lightning network. The US government is looking at new ways to tax the coin to coin transactions that take place on exchanges. Some coins like Ripple have even been successful at being adopted by the mainstream financial industry.
