How to Spot a Cryptocurrency Pump and Dump or Scam in 2018

As the crypto space has grown, Pump & Dumps, or PND’s, have become more popular. Influential YouTubers are moving into the crypto space because they see an opportunity here, but a side effect has been daily PND’s of cryptoassets, many of which are labeled “shitcoins.”

Stay away from crypto coins, tokens, or websites that promote PND’s. If you don’t, prepare to either win big, lose big, or lose everything. I also ask that influencers in this space be mindful of how much power they have over the uninformed. $1000 may be nothing to you, but for some of your followers, it’s everything.

Some of the coins to avoid include:

Crypto Poppa is not a financial advisor, but he does give warnings. For example, don’t invest money you can’t afford to lose. Don’t blindly follow an internet stranger’s investment strategies. And don’t treat cryptocurrency as a get-rich-quick scheme. Educate yourself, watch my tutorials, market recaps, and live streams, and then educate yourself some more.
