Facebook to ban all cryptocurrency advertisements including bitcoin and ICOs

Facebook is banning all advertisements promoting cryptocurrency products and services, including bitcoin.
The company said it will not display advertisements for products “associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices,” specifically mentioning cryptocurrencies and initial coin offerings.
The ban applies to all of Facebook’s platforms, including Instagram and Audience Network.
Facebook’s product management director wrote that the company wants people to discover and learn about new products through Facebook advertisements without fear of scams or deception.
