Expedition photographer and fiilmmaker Ulla Lohmann has done something that only a handful of people in the world have done – go to the edge of a lava lake inside an active volcano. Her story is quite incredible, and inspiring, and so are the images that she captured.
She shot using a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, which survived the extreme temperatures, as did her 70-200mm. Ulla also gives a great bit of advice about adding extra sealing to lens rings by using adhesive tape… should you ever find yourself in a volcano.
