IOT, or the internet of things, will be a major connection point of the physical world and the digital world. IOT will bring a coordination mechanism between users and objects in the physical world, while the potential for billions of high concurrency transaction creates a high value steady stream of digital asset resources for the blockchain. Blockchain and IOT are the perfect combination, since security is the most critical aspect, when designing IOT infrastructure.
Today, I would like to bring you another eastern project from China: SD Chain $SDA. The SD, stand for six domain. The six domain model is an IOT architecture standard from ISO, the international organization for standardization. The model is the basis on which to develop specific IOT applications, and is a reference for reusable designs and industry best practices.
The SD chain system can be represented by four vertical levels. Which include four horizontal cross layer functionalities. The layers from bottom to top include
1) the base layer for governance and audit
2) the core layer for security such as authentication and identity
3) the service layer for operations
4) the user layer for development
SD Chain has built their own Consensus, called Six Domian Fault Tolerance or SDFT consensus. This consensus integrates the high consistency of Raft consensus and the high concurrency of Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance or PBFT consensus.
