Originally a fiat currency exchange, now also lists Crypto. As of today it offers full support for XRP – buy/sell/deposit/withdraw

First exchange in the U.S. to offer fiat pairing for Ripple XRP. Something that was supposed to be done by Coinbase

Uphold was funded by Greg Kidd who was an early Coinbase investor – He gave Uphold $60 Million to add Ripple XRP and expand services such as implementing hacker insurance etc.

Usage Details
Fiat Pairing – Technically any of their supported currencies can be used, however, they have bank connectivity for U.S. bank accounts, EU SEPA and for international members bank wire (with an additional cost).

Within Uphold you can send XRP (or any of our supported currencies) to anyone with an email address (they don’t have to be an Uphold member yet). This is great as you don’t need a wallet address and exchanges like Bitstamp does not allow you to send to other Bitstamp users.
They are working on adding real-time prices for each crypto, in the pipeline.

Deposit/Withdrawal – Standard limit is $500 per day (based on your region), businesses have a higher limit of $10,000 per day.
