Emerald Coin: Mining an alternate crypto currency with your graphics card (Litecoin clone)

Emerald Coin: Mining an alternate crypto currency with your graphics card (Litecoin clone)

I’d like to show you my favorite crypto coin: emeralds 🙂

pretty simple: a 20sec litecoin clone, 3 blocks confirmations per transaction and 50blocks for freshly mined emeralds. 5EMD per block currently, usually a low difficulty and very nice and stable appearance. Total of 31.499 million EMD to be mined in its lifetime. Difficulty retarget every 180 blocks.

Tradeable on the largest exchange Cryptsy (http://bit.ly/18ZDOhi).
Download the client from the website (http://emeraldcoin.wordpress.com) or here from MEGA (http://bit.ly/Jn9KAP).

If you are having problems with http://p2pool.org:12125 you will have to wait unfortunately. The pool however is usually online and works pretty good.

Here’s the mentioned config file:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cd C:Cryptocgminer
cgminer.exe –url p2pool.org:12125 –user Ez7XuEBbiwYt67XGsyuQ1LU8PiCKGxo7vY –pass 123 –scrypt –shaders 2048 –thread-concurrency 8192 –lookup-gap 2 –worksize 256 –intensity 13 –gpu-threads 2 –queue 0 –expiry 8
