Terrence Mawawa The High Court of Zimbabwe has nullified the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission’ s decision to disqualify an aspiring opposition councillor. ZEC had disqualified aspiring candidate for ward 15 in Zvishavane, Kudzai Gengere claiming his documents indicated he was from Zambia. ZEC proceeded to declare that Zanu PF candidate Mziyavo Simango had won the seat uncontested. Justice Mawadze presided over the matter. The Judge reversed the ZEC ruling and indicated that Gengere had the right to participate in the July 30 polls.
