Imran Khan, former cricketer for Pakistan, has inched closed to winning the election with nearly half the votes counted, but his PTI party will need to form a coalition to secure a majority after vote rigging allegations and the tragic polling station suicide bombing in Quetta. Known as the playboy cricketer, in the same way that he captained his country’s squad to victory in the World Cup in 1992, he could make similar moves in politics, as Peter Oborne claimed Khan could ‘wipe out terrorism’.
