Canon EOS R *Leaked* Images and Specs Our Thoughts

AND CANON GOES MIRRORLESS. There are a lot of rumors floating around this weekend about the new Canon mirrorless camera, the R mount Canon EOS R. All appearances from the leaked information show Canon coming out with a full frame mirrorless camera which will compete with both Nikon (the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7) and Sony (the Sony A7r iii and Sony A7 iii). We’ve taken a look at the leaked information and the market and drawn some likely conclusions. The new R mount will have adaptors which will allow the use of the Canon glass you already own or the purchase of the new lenses designed for it. We expect to see it become the prosumer level Canon mirrorless entry with 30 megapixels, hopefully In Body Stabilization, hopefully, non-cropped 4K video AND have the cute little articulating screen that vloggers find so wonderful. Will it have these features? Just like you we’re going to have to wait and see but we’ll be right on it and let you know as soon as we do. And for the record, we were NOT behind the leak. Nope. Not us. Someone stop playing that Mission: Impossible music.
