I got to try the new Canon EOS R Full Frame Mirrorless camera at a recent Canon Collective event hosted by Hot Import Nights Australia. It was a casual experience with the camera and just tested the video functions out to see how the files would come out. I used a tripod for some shots but mostly handheld to actually see how the footage would perform with the shakes involved. The EOS R is a beast of a camera but definitely has a lot of room to improve. It’s a good start for Canon but I don’t think it has surpassed the likes of the Sony A7 range and the Lumix GH5 range. My thoughts on the Canon EOS R are my own and was not sponsored to have this video done.
Thanks to Hot Import Nights Australia for hosting the event at the Co Lab Space, a night full of Automotive Photography and food.
