Upbit Listing Rumors Pushes Up GAS Price, NEO Climbs – September 28th Cryptocurrency News

The cryptocurrency market is looking positive today. Bitcoin climbed past towards $6,800 before falling a little lower again. Gas really stands out as it experienced gains of more than 56% over the past 24 hours. A possible driving factor behind this price action is due to speculations circulating around about an Upbit listing for Gas. The upcoming NNS and associated GAS airdrops could also be pushing up the price.

Over the past week Gas has been on a flat line at around $5, but today we saw it climb towards $10 before falling a little lower again. The best day it has over three months was on July 5th when we saw it climb past $16. It is in 78th place in terms of market cap. NEO also experienced gains because of these speculations. The base asset of the NEO blockchain is the non divisible NEO token which generates GAS tokens that can be used to pay for transaction fees generated by applications on the network.

Now let’s take a look at Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken as it is listing Cardano’s ADA and Quantum today. We saw the price of ADA and Quantum jump after the news was released before falling a little lower again. Cardano is in 9th place with a marketcap of over $2billion, Quantum is in 28th place in terms of marketcap. Kraken says it plans to list more assets.
