Historically, wirelessly tracking industrial assets has been too expensive and power-hungry to be commercially viable for most businesses. By harnessing the growth of low power networks, Pin IoT hope to change this – developing a sophisticated supply chain visibility platform that collects raw data and processes it into actionable insights that customers can use to drive value, prevent theft and make smart, informed decisions to improve cost efficiency.
We caught up with PIN IoT’s founder Paul Byrne, who explained how the rise of low power networks such as Sigfox has helped his company to develop a combined hardware and software solution that has the potential to be transformative to the industry.
As an official partner of Startupbootcamp IoT, we will be continuing to track the progress of PIN IoT and all of the participating startups over the coming months, so stay tuned to the element14 community for further updates.
