All the critics of the Canon EOS M50 harp on about the ridiculous crop factor in this camera when shooting 4K video. Hasn’t anyone seen the great superzoom 4K video that can be achieved by using the longer focal length EFS or EF lenses? Ideal for wildlife videographers!
See for yourself in this video the excellent resolution of even the cheapest 70-300mm EFS lens and then the biting image quality of the 100-400mm L series lens pulling in a well detailed image fro over 1.5 miles away.
You will need a good sturdy tripod to hold these lenses at such a magnification and you must turn off the IS on the lens and use it in the manual focus mode, and for best results use it with focus peaking mode enabled.
With the 70-300mm the longest focal length becomes 750mm EFL and the 100-400mm lens becomes 1100mm EFL.
Here I’m shooting F11, 1/160 sec @ ISO100 and later in the auto exposure mode
