We go hands-on for a full tour of Oppo’s RX17 Neo, a budget-friendly version of the RX17 Pro – once again sporting slick design, but with pared-back specs for a lower asking price.
The RX17 Neo is coming to Europe before the end of 2018 for 349 Euros (we’re still waiting on an official UK price and release date). You get that same gorgeous front-filling 6.4-inch screen, with a built in fingerprint sensor, plus ColorOS 5.4. However, the Snapdragon chipset has been switched to a 660 for the Oppo RX17 Neo, while the battery tech lacks that VOOC+ super charge feature.
You get a less impressive dual lens camera too, although the RX17 Neo can still shoot 4K resolution video and boasts plenty of cool features – even if it doesn’t quite ‘seize the night’ like the Pro model.
