The SABC will collapse by March next year if the government does not give the public broadcaster a three billion rand guarantee to raise capital. That’s the warning of SABC Board Chairperson Bongumusa Makhathini. The SABC Board was appearing before the Communications Committee to give an account of its planned staff retrenchment process in order to cut operational costs.
