NORFOLK, Va. (Dec. 14, 2018) Sailors from Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 40 return home from their regularly scheduled deployment with Carrier Air Wing ONE (CVW-1) and the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG). VRC-40 departed with CVW-1 Apr. 11, 2018 as part of the ongoing rotation of forward deployed forces supporting maritime security operations in international waters across the globe. HSTCSG was the first to participate in Dynamic Fleet Employment (DFE), an initiative allows the Navy to be both strategically predictable to our allies, while remaining operationally unpredictable to our adversaries.
