• eosDAC activates on-chain governance. Today the first elections for @eosdac custodians reached 15% vote participation. The voting started 2 months ago, and after having reached the threshold the elected custodians can operate. Therefore, the DAC is now in the hands of the community. What this means: eosDAC is now making all its decisions (approval or denial of Worker Proposals) on-chain through elected custodians using multisig transactions on the member client. This marks the beginning of the DAC actually functioning on-chain the way it was envisioned and is a huge leap forward for DACs on EOS. Anyone else will be able to launch their own DAC using the complex smart contracts and models they’ve built as well.
