Let’s talk GPU-Crypto-Mining. Is it worthwhile and profitable in June of 2019? Yes these are separate questions.

Short answer is that it depends on your power costs, and required Tech intervention.

Truthfully, as an IT-Tech Guy for over 35 years, I can tell you that if a Client asked me to build them a mining rig and run it for them, I would tell them no. With my hourly rates, it would be a money losing adventure unless Bitcoin and other Alt Coins were to go 10X – Even then, I would have to consider the math.
As a hobbyist and IT guy, then ya, it is worth it. Note I live in Ontario Canada, and my power costs are not as bad as some parts of the globe. on Average about .11 Canadian which translates to about .08 USD.
The # 1 reason I mine is that I enjoy the Tech. I have been and continue to run business servers for years, mostly hosted in Toronto and Montreal. VPN’s and Network security are still my favourite facets of this diamond I call the Tech business.
The # 2 reason, is that I honestly believe in Crypto Currency as a better solution to the monetary digital system we are stuck with now. I believe by contributing my small effort towards the community, that I will leave behind a better system for future generations.
#3 reason, Maybe I will get rich? hahah Who knows, what if Bitcoin did go to 1 million? Or what if my stash of Raven Coin currently worth about .05 cents jumps to 5 dollars?
It’s always nice to dream of a better future and financial freedom.
