Iker Alustiza and Maxime Gagnebin from the Lisk research team presented “The fairest of them all? An overview of Lisk’s newly researched DPoS algorithm”. Iker and Maxime talked about the main properties and objectives of our new DPoS mechanism to
1. Disincentivize coalitions (remove the cartels)
2. Make it open and fair (lower the entry barrier)
3. Offer vote flexibility and
4. Enable efficiency to process the votes
