Sia’s new movie, Music, featuring an Autistic character casted by Maddie Ziegler, an abled actor. The disabled community, specifically the nonverbal or non-speaking Autistic community, is upset due to the fact that no actually Autistic character was cast and Maddie’s acting was more of a mockery of Autistic people.
This comes shortly after Anne Hathaway and the movie, The Witches, received criticism for Anne’s character’s limb differences in the movie, giving the impression that disabled people were evil.
