Elon Musk has now explained his Dogecoin tweets. For awhile, many have wondered if Elon actually believes in Dogecoin, or just liked memeing about it on Twitter. It looks as though now we have an answer. On a Clubhouse chat late Sunday night, Elon Musk said “Occasionally I make jokes about Dogecoin but they are really just meant to be jokes.” On the surface, this seems like a really bad thing for Dogecoin. However, after Elon said this, the price of Dogecoin was hardly affected at all. In fact, it has gone back up since that time. It’s also worth noting that Musk didn’t say that he would stop his Dogecoin hype tweets, although acknowledging that he has to be careful what he says, because he knows the affect he has on the markets.
