OMG at last, I found old GOLD treasure. This is the day I’ve been waiting for since I started metal detecting! I couldn’t stop SHAKING. The deep colour of the GOLD made me think it was something special!!!
I was out on my usual metal detecting silver field, that has been battered by me and Kev over the past few months, Id only gone to test the Garrett REAPER coil on the APEX metal detector and wasn’t expecting to find much at all, but thought it fair to test all the new coils on the same ground.
After finding a couple of old pennies, I dug a target and saw that glint of gold, Id seen that gold glint before in that field and each time it turned out to be a French coin or a golden ring pull, so I put the camera in the plug and slowly wiped away the dirt. Still expecting it to be a ring pull, I lifted it out and what I saw sent me into a frenzy!!
This is the day I’ve been waiting for since I started metal detecting and what this hobby is all about, digging holes for 6 years and then BOOM when you least expect it!!
I do a full clean and report on it at the end of the video.
