Blackpink and Jennie have been fairly inactive in 2023. As they are known for quality over quantity. Despite the long hiatus that they took their past work still breaks new records and brings them new milestones. Jennie was the first member to release one song back in 2018. Her solo keeps breaking new records. It recently garnered 11.2 million likes on youtube. Jennie’s Solo surpassed Sia’s Chandelier and became 22nd most like music video by a female artist on youtube. Blackpink’s youtube channel is the most subscribed channel by a Korean act and the most subscribed channel by a female artist.
So naturally, it brings a huge revenue to its owners. Even though Blackpink didn’t post much this year. Their channel earned the biggest revenue among Korean female stars. As estimated by Forbes Korean annually Blackpink’s youtube channel earns 13.485 billion won. It’s around 11 million US dollars. Blackpink can go on hiatus and still earn that much money from youtube alone. In the first place, is BTS’s youtube channel. Their estimated annual income is 1994.42 million won.
Although Blackpink’s youtube channel has more subscribers than BTS’s channel because they have been inactive this year they earned less. Blackpink’s youtube channel is not far behind Justin Bieber’s channel. They are just 300 thousand subscribers behind him. Only 300 thousand subscribers are left for Blackpink to become the most subscribed artist on youtube. They are moving with confident steps towards that milestone.
