This is a brief tour of my 3 X Nvidia RTX 3090 mining rig. It is mining Ethereum.
Equipment Specs:
Motherboard: Biostar B250-BTC Core i7/i5/i3 LGA1151
CPU: Intel Celeron G3930 Kaby Lake Dual-Core 2.9 GHz LGA 1151
PSU: Corsair AX1600i Power Supply
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2400MHZ
GPU: 2 X EVGA RTX 3090 XC3 Ultra & 1 X EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra
SSD: Crucial MX500 500GB
Frame: Veddha Professional 8 GPU Miner Case Aluminum Stackable Mining Case
For anyone curious why I chose such extravagant hardware, the simple answer is that I got a very good deal. I am aware something like 6 X RTX 3080’s would be a far more cost effective build. The only problem with that idea is that 3080’s are pretty much impossible to get a hold of at this time. 3090’s on the other hand are much easier to get. I think by the time 3080’s become readily available, I would have already made up the cost difference by mining during that time, hence why I proceeded with 3 X 3090’s instead.
