Meet Ohio’s first basketball family, the Johnson’s! Sonny Johnson was the 1998 Mr Basketball in the state of Ohio. He now has two son’s, Sonny Jr. and Marcus. Sonny Jr. is a rising freshman who recently earned his first D1 offer while Marcus is considered the top prospect in his class (26′.) Sonny Sr.’s brother, Demetrius was also a D1 player at Kent State (03′). Demetrius’s son Meechie, is currently considered a Top 100 prospect in the class of 2023. Sonny and Demetrius also have another brother, Julius, who played at Miami (OH) and overseas.
