How do the hashrates on NVIDIA RTX 2080 GPU stack up for cryptocurrency mining? Is it worth the upgrade?
We use the CudoMiner multi-miner to benchmark its performance against the GTX 1080 for four popular mining algorithms Ethash, Equihash, CryptoNight, andLyraREv2. We tested with the current version of EthPill on day of GTX 2080 release, hopefully they will bring out the 2080 version soon. CudoMiner have in the roadmap a GTX 1080 / 1080Ti and RTX 2080 / 2080Ti memory optimized version which should achieve the same result.
We have tested on standard card settings and configurations as a direct comparison. Nothing has been overclocked or optimized specifically for mining. You would expect to increase hashrates according to the level overclocked.
