(Available in mid DECEMBER 2023) Also check out the official Cross Rc website for more details and models. https://www.cross-rc.com – This is the CROSS RC AT4 EMO, and its a pretty cool 1/10th scale electric Radio Controlled truck. Its got all the usual bells and whistles including portal axles, a dual stage transmission, locking and unlocking differentials, inner wheel wells, Metal Suspension Links, a 3s Lipo Capable ESC and a 35t Brushed Motor.
Although this truck has some redeeming (yet common) features – I find it left me wanting. In my opinion, to have a trail truck that is not fully waterproof is a shortcoming on the side of Cross RC. Some will argue that they would do this to keep costs down, or that “hobbyists like to modify their trucks”.. and sure, that could be true. But the models that come today including the Axial SCX3, Traxxas TRX4, MST, and a Myriad of other manufacturers have already come to the table with similar models – all waterproof.
Regardless, I think this is a GREAT platform for anyone to start with. Modding is easy and fun.. and truly as I said above “Hobbyists like to Modify their Trucks!”
