Hi all, so after hearing earlier in the week that Easyjets first 321 NEO was going to arrive at Luton, I thought i outta pop down and grab it while its here. It arrived on Friday the 13th around 17:20 local time, and went straight to the Easyjet hangar where she will undergo maintenance before heading to Gatwick Monday morning. She will then be present Wednesday at Farnborough airshow on static display.
It was certainly nice to see, and great to meet so many lovely Easyjet staff as well, of whom came up to see the new aircraft arrive. Unfortunately the NEO wasn’t greeted with a water salute, as the press events will be held next week on the flight from Gatwick to Farnborough.
Easyjet have a couple more A321 NEO’s scheduled for delivery throughout the rest of 2018, all of which will be delivered to Luton first before heading down to operate out of Gatwick.
