Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Malaysia does not accept LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) and same-sex marriages as the country does not subscribe to these Western values.
Stressing that the Government’s concept of family remains the same, that “a couple with children or adopted children are considered a family, but two men or two women are not considered a family,” said Dr Mahathir at a press conference after chairing the fourth meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corruption on Friday.
