Learn how to store IoT device data on a blockchain with the IBM Watson IoT Platform and the IBM Blockchain Platform

As more and more IoT devices are being used to tracking important assets, the data that these devices generate needs to be stored in a secure location that multiple parties may need visibility on. This would ensure that any disputes on the location of the asset can be resolved quickly.
In this session we will explore how to store IoT device data on a blockchain running on the IBM Blockchain Platform. We will also take a look at how to connect IoT devices to the cloud by utilizing the Watson IoT Platform. Join us as Oliver Rodriguez and Derek Teay discuss blockchain development considerations with IoT device data from the cloud.

Derek is a Developer Advocate that helps other developers learn IBM Cloud and Watson Services. He also works on IBM’s Call for Code and Code and Response initiatives to help developers utilize technology to prevent, mitigate, or recover from natural disasters. Derek is passionate about technology and automation, especially as it relates to IoT.

Oliver Rodriguez is a developer advocate from Austin, Texas who has a focus on blockchain, specifically Hyperledger Fabric. He has been with IBM for about 4 years with experience in developing applications on IBM Cloud and utilizing the Watson cognitive APIs. Lately, he has been exploring blockchain smart contract development in Node.js and experimenting with RBAC in chaincode.
