On Thursday August 5th, a terrifying storm covered Japan with hail large enough to smash a street lamp. Recently, Japan has been the target of strange weather that happened without any warning. According to Haarp, the most recent incident occurred on August 5, when numerous reports of the terrible hail began to spread. The wind was reportedly strong enough to knock down even the signs. Moreover, the spiky hail particles were so large that the street lamp even shattered on impact. Some video footage of the incident captures the shocking aftermath of a hailstorm that sounds almost as if a heavy machine gun is being fired at one roof. As a result, all the streets of Tokyo were strewn with thousands of hailstones, but without serious injuries among the civilian population. Despite the fact that the storm became more violent, there were no reports of casualties. As evening fell, Japan’s skies became clear again as the violent storm seemed to have passed. However, such frightening events are not uncommon in Japan. Hail, bringing incredibly large stones with hail, has already happened in Japan on several occasions. As a matter of fact, the locals even coined the term “partisan downpour”, describing the sudden occurrence of unusual weather due to its recurrence. According to Haarp, a similar incident happened not so long ago in the land of the rising sun. On July 11, a similar stream of hail poured over the Tokyo city of Mitaka. The heavy hail lasted for about 30 minutes. Like the most recent incident, this inclement weather also happened sometime in the afternoon. Officials attributed the storm to moist air combined with cold air masses. The combination of these gases creates cumulonimbus clouds. These clouds create unstable atmospheric conditions, which, in turn, cause heavy rainstorms.
