The SEC has fined DJ Khaled and Floyd Mayweather for participating in promoting cryptocurrency scams. They need to pay up in fees for their ICO reviews and give the original funds back, plus legal fees of course. The SEC is using them to make a case and they want to warn other celebrities. The problem here isn’t promoting the ICOs themselves, or any crypto company for that matter.. it’s not being upfront about being sponsored in the first place. Their twitter accounts were the source of the promos.
