Vocal Coach Reacts to Sia’s Best Live Vocals – Ken Tamplin

Sia is an incredibly talented singer and songwriter.

Sia is from Australia and as a child, she imitated the performing styles of Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Sting.

Her singing career began with the acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s where she was the lead singer.

When the band disbanded in 1997, she released a solo debut album that sold 1,200 copies.

But she didn’t give up.

Sia moved to London and released her second debut album, followed by a third but neither of them made any significant traction. Her next move was to New York City where she made her 4th and 5th albums which were both certified gold in Australia.

It was 9 years later that her solo career finally broke out when she released her 6th studio album which debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200.

Sia is a great example of never giving up on your dreams.

She is also an incredibly talented songwriter who has written the lyrics to many critically-acclaimed tracks for artists including Beyonce, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Rihanna.
