Over the next 3 years, Europe will build out 50,000 charging stations. The partnership is between Irish e-commerce and mobile payment solutions firm HIPS Payment Group Ltd and Vourity, a Swedish firm that specializes in unattended payment facilities such as EV charging stations.
The firms have not disclosed which cyrptos/coins will support the platform build on Ethereum and Solana. This channels opinion points to IOTA being an obvious choice.
The integration of crypto payments with charging stations will occur over the next three years starting from November 2023.
