Connected devices promise to boost efficiency of densely populated urban environments, but privacy and security challenges abound. Panelists include Kate Garman, technology policy advisor with the City of Seattle, Alex Alben, the former technology executive at Starwave and RealNetworks who for the past three years has served as chief privacy officer for Washington State, and Tara Prakriya, a general manager in Microsoft’s Azure IoT division who focuses on connected vehicles and Azure Maps.
