Kottayam: The faction led by Jose K Mani of the Kerala Congress (M) will convene a meeting of its state committee on Sunday, in which working chairman PJ Joseph and his faction have decided to opt out. It is an indication that the party is on the verge of a split following the impasse to find its new successor. The meeting is likely to choose Jose K Mani as their new party chairman. Acting Chairman PJ Joseph is gearing up to take disciplinary action against those who take part in the state committee meeting.
