Shortly after Iranian forces fired missiles at military bases housing US troops in Iraq, US aviation authorities banned all US-registered carriers from flying over Iraq, Iran and the Gulf. A growing number of airlines have begun diverting flights from the region, including many Asian carriers. SIA said it is diverting flights from Iranian airspace.
